You guysssss, I won the Best Blogger at Masala Awards last night and YOU GUYS MADE IT HAPPEN.

I am writing to you as personally as it can get. It’s my first ever award and it feels so incredible. I cannot help but continuously think about the deep gratitude I have for everyone who voted, everyone who tried to vote but couldn’t and even everyone who wanted to but forgot/got lazy/whatever-other-reason (it happens).

While I was sitting at our table, first hearing the category being announced, then the nominees, I kept thinking, ‘people voted for me and if something great happens it’s because a tremendous amount of people wanted to do this for me’. And then my name got called and I was in absolute disbelief for about a couple of seconds. I honestly, honestly had quite low expectations, the blogging market is saturated here like anything, there are SO many bloggers, plus the other two nominees have much larger followings than mine and are really great at what they do. It was quite the moment. I feel so blessed and am so grateful.

It was important if you guys hadn’t voted. I mean, all of everything I experienced last night and feel right now is only.because.of.you.

I don’t have a picture with the award yet since they took me to the side right after I got off stage, had me take a few pictures and then took the award away to get it engraved with my name. I should get it in a few days, hopefully – cannot wait to show you guys.

The pre-party spot. Here, Nabeel and I mostly hung out, having mini food and wondering if we’ll ever be able to reach the level of sophistication everyone else had. The mutually agreed conclusion was no.

Boman Irani was one of the hosts, I love him. He also called out my name for the win – obviously he doesn’t know I exist, but I was so excited about that too. Here, Sri Devi getting the Cinematic Legend award.

Back home. I wore a blazer dress as a top (from Topshop, ordered online from Namshi) with flared white pants. Kundan type earrings, a hand harness and statement ring (both from Aetee Designs, that I got a couple of years ago). Shoes were from Steve Madden, I’ll post them separately.
